It’s unfair to demonize steroid users in our hypocritical society

Reporters often write articles about those that possess unnatural muscles and strength. Reading their statements, you can notice that those that administer steroids and/or other related medications are harshly demonized. Such individuals are criticized in the society. They are named “cheaters”. It is said that those who take anabolic steroids for athletic needs may become addicted to these products. A lot of articles also contain information related to potential negative effects of steroids. However some side consequences appear in consumers of steroids, others are not proven scientifically. For example, it is widely reported about violent cases and murders committed by steroid users. It is affirmed that anabolic steroids may cause uncontrolled behavior that results in crimes. However, so called “roid rage” related to these preparations is claimed to be a controversial issue.
A lot of persons affirm that usage of anabolic steroids for obtaining of muscle mass and strength, hardening of muscles and fat burning is a moral issue. Let think! Is this statement free from hypocrisy? Why are only anabolic steroids blamed? Do only these preparations make the society unnatural? Let examine other conditions of our society! What do you think about sexual stimulants? It is said that you should not suffer from sexual dysfunctions, when there are appropriate remedies to get rid of such problems. Moreover, what do you think about products for anti-aging purposes? Why should you have evident wrinkles, if there are ways to hide your age? Models and actors administer several drugs but they are not called “cheaters”. Students administer certain products for enhancement of their cognitive abilities. They are not blamed too. Certain specialists that have conducted certain researches affirm that those that take steroids for enhancement of physical abilities are more harshly blamed than those that take several medications to increase cognitive abilities. Is it fair?
As you see, our society is full of hypocrisy, ignorance and unfair accusations. May you demonize steroid users in this society? May you state that application of steroids for increase of physical performance is a moral issue? Be real! If you start blaming steroid users, don’t forget about other aspects of life!
