The American mixed martial artist Chael Sonnen is allowed to utilize anabolic steroids. The doctor Timothy Trainor noted that this mixed martial artist actually experienced hypogonadism.
What does this disorder represent? Hypogonadism is linked with insufficient secretion of testosterone. Health care providers ordinarily recommend testosterone replacement therapy in order to treat this disease.
The athlete Chael Sonnen has received a therapeutic use exemption (TUE). So, this athlete is allowed to use steroids for therapeutic purposes and meet Anderson Silva at UFC 148 in July 2012.
According to indications given by Chael Sonnen’s doctor, he should introduce injections of Testosterone Enanthate and Testosterone Cypionate twice per week. The dosages that are prescribed have not been discussed. But under establishments of the Nevada Athletic Commission, blood serum levels of testosterone in Chael Sonnen should remain within normal range on the morning after the match with Silva.
The physician Trainor confirms that those that compete with TUE must be tested on the morning after the match to learn whether they have applied something right before the fight.
The physician Trainor believes that testosterone is able to cause performance-enhancing effects, if it is utilized right before the fight. He claims that injections must not be introduced in the days before a match to prevent high testosterone levels.
But it seems that the NAC is not aware that steroids cause benefits related to enhancement of performance, not only if they are administered right before competitions. Usage of steroids influences significantly on performance during workouts before competitions. And the benefits remain even after consumers stop administering them.
Sonnen had increased levels of testosterone at UFC 117. He claimed that he had tested positive because he had been on TRT. He appealed his suspension and it was reduced to 6 months from one year. But Chael Sonnen didn’t have any TUE that time.
