Experts have various attitudes when it comes to Alberto Contador’s positive for Clenbuterol

The cyclist Alberto Contador who won the 2010 Tour de France tested positive for Clenbuterol. Quantities of this substance in his body were very small. They were 40 times less than its minimum standard of the detection ability. But the World Anti-Doping Agency lacks tolerance totally when it comes to this substance. Any amount of this substance uncovered in an athlete’s body causes ban.
Alberto Contador proclaims that contaminated meat is responsible for his positive for Clenbuterol. Many specialists believe him, since the quantity detected in his urine are very small.   Nonetheless, Alberto Contadorwas banned.
The anti-doping expert of Contador’s defense team Douwe de Boer announces that he becomes disappointed in decisions of the WADA day by day. He mentions that he seems as if the WADA enjoyed to ban innocent sportspeople but not to determine cheaters.

According to anti-doping studies conducted in Cologne, it is more likely to detect Clenbuterol from contaminated meat than from intentional use of this medicine for athletic purposes.
China’s National Anti-Doping Laboratory informs that experiments led by them have displayed that consumption of pork meat containing Clenbuterol may cause positives for this substance.
But there are skeptic persons who think that the Spanish cyclist Alberto Contador has administrated prohibited medicines.
Skeptic attitude to the Spanish cyclist Alberto Contador may be explained by the condition that usage of EPO, anabolic steroids, HGH and other products that have performance-enhancing effects is widespread in cycling.
