It is necessary to make some changes in society in order to keep youth from steroid use

American youth idolize their sports stars. They have already numerous such idols from the days of the baseball players Babe Ruth and Shoeless Joe Jackson till the stars of today: the football player Peyton Manning and the baseball player Derek Jeter. Youth observe and repeat their every move.
Isn’t it dangerous to idolize sports stars of nowadays? It may be risky. Nowadays sports heroes obtain millions of dollars because of steroid use. However the NFL and the MLB fight against doping, the war seems to lack success. Intake of steroids like cancer destructs sports. However American youth are educated about severe unwanted symptoms of these preparations, the results are not satisfactory.
It is said that youth are suppressed to use steroids. They put efforts to meet the required criteria of college admission; they idolize current professional athletes. The all these aspects induce applying steroids.
Of course, all parents desire their children to be successful. If children go info sports, their parents desire them to win and to continue to play professionally. Children realize that it is difficult to do it. Which are the consequences? The pressure influences greatly on American youth.  Over 10 % of teenagers feel that they need to lie in order to have success. College admission levels have been reduced because of budget cuts. The Recovery Place claims that it may cause the situation, when high school students will look for alternative methods to have ability to stand out among crowds. Doping can seem for teenagers to be the best alternative way.
American youth observe that many professional sportspeople have succeeded differently. Some of them did it due to their talents and intensive workouts; others used steroids and other related medications. If American youth act like those who dope, which will be the results?
Prolonged usage of steroids can lead to addiction to these medications.  Moreover, steroid users may experience such adverse results, as liver disorders, cancer, hypertension, icterus, kidney disorders and bad cholesterol. These negative results are considered to be serious; they may threaten to life.
Of course, parents don’t want to see their children with health problems. They want their children to reach goals due to devotion to sports and intensive trainings. But it is difficult to do it because many others cheat, applying steroids. Now it is time to do everything to push out steroids. These medicines shouldn’t disturb to achieve our goals.
